Resumo: O texto apresenta uma interpretação espírita da parábola bíblica do rico e Lázaro, utilizando trechos de O Livro dos Espíritos e A Gênese de Allan Kardec, além de referências a outros autores bíblicos e teológicos. A análise examina a individualidade da alma após a morte, a natureza dos anjos e o conceito espírita do Umbral, contrastando-o com a visão tradicional do céu e inferno. A interpretação enfatiza a importância do arrependimento e da evolução espiritual, explorando a continuidade dos laços afetivos após a desencarnação e a possibilidade de ajuda espiritual entre os espíritos. A abordagem justifica a interpretação livre da Bíblia, baseada em Lutero e Calvino, e oferece uma visão espírita sobre os eventos da parábola.

Abstract: The text presents a Spiritist interpretation of the biblical parable of the rich man and Lazarus, using excerpts from The Spirits’ Book and Genesis by Allan Kardec, as well as references to other biblical and theological authors. The analysis examines the individuality of the soul after death, the nature of angels and the Spiritist concept of the Umbral, contrasting it with the traditional view of heaven and hell. The interpretation emphasizes the importance of repentance and spiritual evolution, exploring the continuity of affective bonds after disincarnation and the possibility of spiritual help between spirits. The approach justifies the free interpretation of the Bible, based on Luther and Calvin, and offers a Spiritist view of the events of the parable.
