Resumo: O texto analisa a narrativa bíblica do “bom ladrão” em Lucas 23:39-43, questionando suas contradições com outras passagens bíblicas e diferentes versões da frase dita por Jesus. A análise compara as versões em diversas Bíblias e também cita fontes apócrifas, explorando discrepâncias na descrição do evento e levantando dúvidas sobre a interpretação tradicional. O autor argumenta que a interpretação literal da promessa de Jesus ao ladrão entra em conflito com a doutrina da justiça divina baseada nas obras, e questiona a possibilidade da morte simultânea de Jesus e o ladrão. Finalmente, o texto propõe uma interpretação alternativa, sugerindo que a frase de Jesus admite uma interpretação temporal diferente, alinhada com a ideia de que a salvação está condicionada às ações de cada indivíduo.

Abstract: The text analyzes the biblical narrative of the “good thief” in Luke 23:39-43, questioning its contradictions with other biblical passages and different versions of the phrase spoken by Jesus. The analysis compares the versions in various Bibles and also cites apocryphal sources, exploring discrepancies in the description of the event and raising doubts about the traditional interpretation. The author argues that the literal interpretation of Jesus’ promise to the thief conflicts with the doctrine of divine justice based on works, and questions the possibility of the simultaneous death of Jesus and the thief. Finally, the text proposes an alternative interpretation, suggesting that Jesus’ phrase admits a different temporal interpretation, in line with the idea that salvation is conditioned by the actions of each individual.
