Resumo: O texto discute a controvérsia sobre a possível identidade entre Allan Kardec e Francisco de Assis, analisando citações de Emmanuel em “A Caminho da Luz” e outras obras espíritas. A principal questão reside na aparente contradição entre a separação dessas figuras por Emmanuel em diferentes contextos históricos e a inclusão de ambos em uma lista de reencarnações de Chico Xavier. O autor argumenta que, considerando as informações fornecidas por Emmanuel, esses dois indivíduos são distintos. A análise se baseia em interpretações de textos espíritas e levanta a hipótese de um erro na lista de reencarnações. A conclusão reforça a priorização da informação dada por Emmanuel em detrimento de outras fontes.
