Abstract: The text analyzes the interpretation of the phrase “it is appointed for men to die once” (Hebrews 9:27), arguing that it does not refute reincarnation. The author uses biblical passages to support the idea that the death referred to is that of the physical body, not of the spirit. In addition, the text discusses the authenticity of the authorship of the Epistle to the Hebrews and questions the literal interpretation of certain verses, presenting biblical examples of resurrections and raptures as counter-arguments. Finally, the author cites José Reis Chaves, who agrees with the interpretation that Hebrews 9:27 is not related to reincarnation.
