Resumo: O texto discute a controversa questão da existência de espíritos animais na erraticidade, segundo o Espiritismo. Ele analisa diferentes interpretações de Allan Kardec e, principalmente, as opiniões e escritos de Herculano Pires sobre o tema, apresentando evidências de materializações e aparições de animais em relatos espíritas e parapsicológicos. A discussão enfatiza a evolução do pensamento espírita e a importância de considerar novas evidências, mesmo contrapondo-se a interpretações anteriores da Codificação Kardequiana. O artigo também cita outros autores e obras relevantes para o debate. Finalmente, são apresentadas referências complementares para aprofundamento do tema.

Abstract: The text discusses the controversial issue of the existence of animal spirits in the erratic world, according to Spiritism. It analyzes different interpretations of Allan Kardec and, mainly, the opinions and writings of Herculano Pires on the subject, presenting evidence of materializations and apparitions of animals in spiritist and parapsychological reports. The discussion emphasizes the evolution of spiritist thought and the importance of considering new evidence, even when contrasting with previous interpretations of the Kardecian Codification. The article also cites other authors and works relevant to the debate. Finally, complementary references are presented for further study of the subject.
