Abstract: The text argues against the use of the phrase “this has no doctrinal basis” in Spiritism, highlighting the evolutionary nature of Spiritist knowledge and the importance of considering new evidence and research, including from non-Spiritist sources. It cites Allan Kardec to show Spiritism’s openness to new knowledge and the review of previous understandings in light of new discoveries. The author defends a more comprehensive investigative stance, going beyond the limits of the Kardecian Codification, and uses examples of how Spiritist interpretations have evolved over time. Finally, the text proposes the phrase “I have not yet found this in the Codification” as a more appropriate alternative.
