Resumo: O texto é uma refutação de um artigo que nega a reencarnação de Elias como João Batista. O autor discorda da interpretação bíblica apresentada no artigo original, argumentando que passagens de Mateus e Lucas, entre outras, apoiam a ideia da reencarnação. The author disagrees with the biblical interpretation presented in the original article, arguing that passages from Matthew and Luke, among others, support the idea of reincarnation. He criticizes the interpretative methodology of the original article, accusing it of selectivity and inconsistency in the application of its own rules of biblical interpretation. The author supports his position by presenting counterarguments based on different biblical passages and emphasizing the coherence between the promise of Elijah’s return and the figure of John the Baptist. Finally, he points out contradictions in the original article and offers his own interpretation, defending the view of Elijah’s reincarnation as John the Baptist as a biblical truth.
