Resumo: O texto analisa criticamente o argumento da Escritura como prova da existência de Deus, questionando a confiabilidade histórica dos evangelhos. Ele destaca contradições internas entre os evangelhos canônicos, como as narrativas conflitantes sobre o nascimento de Jesus em Belém. A falta de imparcialidade dos autores e as possíveis agendas religiosas são apontadas como fatores que comprometem a veracidade histórica dos relatos bíblicos. O autor argumenta que muitas histórias bíblicas são emprestadas de outras religiões e que a seleção dos evangelhos canônicos foi arbitrária. Finalmente, ele compara os evangelhos a ficção, seja antiga ou moderna, reforçando a ideia de que não constituem evidência confiável para crenças religiosas.

Abstract: The text critically analyzes the argument of Scripture as proof of the existence of God, questioning the historical reliability of the gospels. It highlights internal contradictions among the canonical gospels, such as the conflicting narratives about the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. The lack of impartiality of the authors and possible religious agendas are pointed out as factors that compromise the historical veracity of the biblical accounts. The author argues that many biblical stories are borrowed from other religions and that the selection of the canonical gospels was arbitrary. Finally, he compares the gospels to fiction, whether ancient or modern, reinforcing the idea that they do not constitute reliable evidence for religious beliefs.
