An article criticizes the spiritist interpretation of the verse, alleging an intentional pleonasm to support reincarnation and questioning the use of the Bible to justify spiritist doctrines. In contrast, the response defends the spiritist interpretation, arguing that “being born again” implies repetition of the act of being born, relying on other biblical verses to support reincarnation and refuting the arguments of the original article. The discussion focuses on the biblical interpretation and its implications for the belief in reincarnation.
