Resumo: O texto discute a vida e as ideias de Orígenes, um importante teólogo cristão do século III, conhecido por sua defesa da reencarnação (palingenesis). Apesar de sua grande influência na teologia grega, suas crenças foram posteriormente consideradas heréticas e condenadas pelos concílios de Constantinopla, silenciando sua doutrina da reencarnação por séculos. O artigo analisa a influência de Orígenes em relação a outros pensadores, como Clemente de Alexandria e Platão, explorando como sua visão da reencarnação difere da interpretação platônica. Finalmente, o texto destaca a reabilitação de suas ideias no contexto do espiritismo, ressaltando sua importância como precursor de doutrinas reencarnacionistas.

Abstract: The text discusses the life and ideas of Origen, an important Christian theologian of the 3rd century, known for his defense of reincarnation (palingenesis). Despite his great influence on Greek theology, his beliefs were later considered heretical and condemned by the Councils of Constantinople, silencing his doctrine of reincarnation for centuries. The article analyzes the influence of Origen in relation to other thinkers, such as Clement of Alexandria and Plato, exploring how his view of reincarnation differs from the Platonic interpretation. Finally, the text highlights the rehabilitation of his ideas in the context of spiritualism, emphasizing his importance as a precursor of reincarnationist doctrines.
