Resumo: O texto examina a origem e a natureza de Satanás e dos demônios em diferentes perspectivas religiosas. Ele argumenta que a concepção bíblica de Satanás foi influenciada pelo Zoroastrismo, questionando a ideia de um ser eternamente mau em oposição a Deus. A análise estende-se à origem do termo “demônio”, contrastando interpretações bíblicas com a visão espírita, que considera os demônios como espíritos imperfeitos em processo de evolução. Finalmente, o texto compara as visões da Igreja e do Espiritismo sobre a natureza desses seres, destacando as diferenças em suas concepções de bem e mal, e a possibilidade de redenção.

Abstract: The text examines the origin and nature of Satan and demons from different religious perspectives. It argues that the biblical conception of Satan was influenced by Zoroastrianism, questioning the idea of an eternally evil being in opposition to God. The analysis extends to the origin of the term “demon”, contrasting biblical interpretations with the Spiritist view, which considers demons as imperfect spirits in the process of evolution. Finally, the text compares the views of the Church and Spiritism on the nature of these beings, highlighting the differences in their conceptions of good and evil, and the possibility of redemption.
