Resumo: O texto é uma crítica contundente à cobertura jornalística do Espiritismo no Brasil, acusando a imprensa de perpetuar equívocos e estereótipos. O autor argumenta que a imprensa recorre excessivamente a fontes contrárias ao Espiritismo, como o Padre Quevedo, desconsiderando a vasta gama de especialistas espíritas e as obras sociais da doutrina. Ele destaca a distorção da imagem do Espiritismo, associando-o erroneamente à feitiçaria e representando as reuniões mediúnicas de forma imprecisa. Abstract: The text is a scathing critique of the journalistic coverage of Spiritism in Brazil, accusing the press of perpetuating misconceptions and stereotypes. The author argues that the press excessively resorts to sources that are against Spiritism, such as Father Quevedo, disregarding the vast array of Spiritist experts and the social works of the doctrine. He highlights the distortion of the image of Spiritism, wrongly associating it with witchcraft and representing mediumistic meetings inaccurately. Finally, the author calls for fairer and more informed coverage, based on reliable sources and adequate research.
