Resumo: O texto apresenta argumentos contra a legalização do aborto de fetos anencéfalos, baseados em perspectivas espíritas e científicas. Defensores dessa posição argumentam que o feto, mesmo com anencefalia, possui vida e direito à vida, apontando para a presença de estruturas cerebrais e a possibilidade de sobrevivência, contrariando a ideia de ausência total de encéfalo. Além disso, recorrem à doutrina espírita para enfatizar a importância da reencarnação e o respeito à vida em todas as suas formas, mesmo que com deficiências. O texto também aborda a questão dos direitos da mulher, mas prioriza a preservação da vida do feto. Finalmente, o texto cita exemplos de crianças anencéfalas que sobreviveram por um período, reforçando a ideia de que a vida deve ser respeitada.

Abstract: The text presents arguments against the legalization of abortion of anencephalic fetuses, based on spiritualist and scientific perspectives. Defenders of this position argue that the fetus, even with anencephaly, has life and the right to life, pointing to the presence of brain structures and the possibility of survival, contradicting the idea of the total absence of the brain. In addition, they resort to the spiritualist doctrine to emphasize the importance of reincarnation and respect for life in all its forms, even with disabilities. The text also addresses the issue of women’s rights, but prioritizes the preservation of the life of the fetus. Finally, the text cites examples of anencephalic children who survived for a period, reinforcing the idea that life must be respected.
