Simonetti accuses the report of being biased, superficial and full of inaccuracies and untruths, arguing that reporter Gisela Branco did not adequately investigate the medium’s life and work. He refutes the report’s explanations for Xavier’s mediumship, such as pastiche, epilepsy and telepathy, presenting counter-arguments and evidence in defense of the medium. The letter demonstrates the author’s indignation with the magazine’s approach, questioning the credibility of the journalism presented and the lack of respect for the figure of Chico Xavier.
