Resumo: Em suas obras espíritas, Allan Kardec apresentou os conceitos aceitos pelas ciências de sua época e também os resultados de suas pesquisas no campo da ciência e da filosofia espíritas. Com o passar do tempo, novas descobertas levaram à atualização dos conceitos científicos, em diversos campos. O objetivo deste artigo, assim como da sua 1a parte [JEE 9, 010205 (2021)], foi fazer uma síntese das principais descobertas e teorias astronômicas desde o século XIX até a atualidade, partindo das próprias informações históricas e científicas sobre o assunto inseridas por Kardec nas obras fundamentais do Espiritismo. Na 1a parte deste trabalho, foram abordadas as questões do espaço universal, da formação e movimento da Terra, dos mundos, das estrelas e da Via Láctea, além da pluralidade dos mundos habitados. Nesta 2a parte, outros tópicos astronômicos que também sofreram atualizações são analisados, em particular, a formação e propriedades da Lua e dos demais satélites do Sistema Solar, os cometas e asteroides, a fonte da energia solar, entre outras descobertas e concepções astronômicas dos séculos XX e XXI. Como no artigo anterior, tais dados são comparados às informações e instruções dadas pelos Espíritos consultados por Kardec e inseridas em suas obras, evidenciando que seu saber também tem limites. Na divulgação da Doutrina Espírita, então, é importante, quanto possível, incluir as atualizações das noções científicas expostas nas obras fundamentais.

Abstract: In his spiritist works, Allan Kardec presented the accepted concepts of the Science of his time. Moreover, he took them into consideration in his analysis of the results he obtained in the field of spiritist science and philosophy. Over time, new scientific discoveries updated several concepts in many fields. The purpose of this article, as its 1st part [JEE 9, 010205 (2021)], is to make a synthesis of the main astronomical discoveries and theories from the 19th century to the present, starting from the historical and scientific information on the subject, as inserted by Kardec in the fundamental works of Spiritism. In the 1st part of this work, issues regarding the universal space, Earth’s formation and movement, the worlds, the stars and the Milky Way, in addition to the plurality of inhabited worlds, were addressed. In this 2nd paper, other astronomical topics that also underwent updates are analyzed, paying a particular attention to the formation and properties of the Moon and other Solar System satellites, comets and asteroids, the source of solar energy, among other discoveries and astronomical conceptions from the 19th to the 21th centuries. As in the previous paper, such data are compared to the information and instructions given by the Spirits consulted by Kardec and inserted in his works, showing that his knowledge also has limits. In the dissemination and teaching of Spiritism, therefore, it is important, as much as possible, to include the updates of the scientific notions exposed in the fundamental works.
