Resumo: O texto apresenta uma análise extensa do Evangelho de Judas, recém-descoberto na época da publicação, contrastando sua interpretação com a narrativa tradicional da Bíblia sobre a traição de Judas. O estudo examina diversos aspectos, questionando a imagem negativa de Judas construída ao longo dos anos, investigando a veracidade histórica do evangelho e analisando a relação entre o Espiritismo e o Cristianismo. Além disso, são apresentadas opiniões de vários especialistas sobre a importância e significado do texto, discutindo as implicações de sua descoberta para a compreensão dos primórdios do Cristianismo. Finalmente, a trajetória do manuscrito, desde sua descoberta até a publicação, também é detalhada.

Abstract: The text presents an extensive analysis of the Gospel of Judas, recently discovered at the time of publication, contrasting its interpretation with the traditional narrative of the Bible about Judas’ betrayal. The study examines several aspects, questioning the negative image of Judas constructed over the years, investigating the historical veracity of the gospel and analyzing the relationship between Spiritism and Christianity. In addition, opinions of several experts are presented on the importance and meaning of the text, discussing the implications of its discovery for the understanding of the beginnings of Christianity. Finally, the trajectory of the manuscript, from its discovery to publication, is also detailed.
