Resumo: O texto analisa a narrativa bíblica de Samuel aparecendo a Saul através de uma necromante em 1 Samuel 28, refutando argumentos que sugerem uma manifestação demoníaca. A análise compara diferentes traduções bíblicas e dicionários, explorando as definições de termos como “necromante” e “bruxa”. O autor utiliza a obra de Allan Kardec e o relato de Flávio Josefo para sustentar a interpretação de que foi o espírito de Samuel quem se manifestou. Finalmente, o texto aborda objeções à interpretação, confrontando-as com a Bíblia Hebraica e outras fontes.

The analysis compares different biblical translations and dictionaries, exploring the definitions of terms such as “necromancer” and “witch”. The author uses the work of Allan Kardec and the account of Flavius Josephus to support the interpretation that it was Samuel’s spirit who manifested himself. Finally, the text addresses objections to the interpretation, comparing them with the Hebrew Bible and other sources.
